Smash Golf – Frequently Asked Questions
We wanted to create something different with Smash Golf — making golf fun, removing the politics, and creating a relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy time with family and friends.
1. Is the course 9 or 18 holes?
Answer: Our course at Smash Golf is a 9-hole course. We purchased the original 9 holes when it first opened, now known as The Old Course. Players can choose to play either 9 holes or 18 holes by completing two loops of the course.
2. Is the driving range open to anyone?
Answer: Yes — the driving range is open to both the general public and Smash Golf pass holders, so everyone is welcome to come and practice.
3. Can we book the driving range?
Answer: The driving range can be booked for groups of 10 or more. For smaller groups or individual players, bays operate on a walk-in basis.
4. Will you have buggies at Smash Golf?
Answer: Yes — we will have a fleet of buggies available to hire, providing a comfortable way to get around the course.
5. Do you offer memberships at Smash Golf?
Answer: Not in the traditional sense. Instead, we offer Smash Golf Passes, which allow players to access discounted golf and enjoy a range of benefits without the restrictions of a traditional membership.
6. Are the passes and the driving range linked?
Answer: No — the driving range operates separately from the passes. However, pass holders can access a Smash Golf Range Pass. Range balls can be purchased directly through the Professional Shop.
7. Will there be a clubhouse that serves food?
Answer: Yes — we will be opening the Smash Golf Café. As our kitchen is still under development, we will initially offer a limited food and beverage service when we open.
8. What time will Smash Golf be open?
Answer:
Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 9:00pm
Saturday to Sunday: 7:30am – 6:00pm
9. Will there be coaching available?
Answer: Yes — we will be launching the Smash Golf Academy, which will provide coaching for golfers of all abilities, from beginners to experienced players.
10. Is Smash Golf affiliated to England Golf?
Answer: Not at present. We are currently planning a number of course improvements over the next two years, including the addition of new tees, and will review affiliation in the future.
11. Can I still get a handicap at Smash Golf?
Answer: Yes — we will maintain handicaps for competitions held at Smash Golf. Players can also use platforms such as IG Golf or similar apps to track and manage their handicap progress.
12. Will there be competitions at Smash Golf?
Answer: Yes — we will host a variety of competitions throughout the year for pass holders, as well as open competitions and regular weekly roll-ups.
